Tournament Rules- U8 (FUN)

Ringette Canada rules will be followed except for the following:

U8: Ringette Canada Jamboree Guide Rules will apply, unless modified by these tournament rules.

1. Team will have a 2-minute warm up prior to starting their game.
2. Teams will play with 4 skaters and a goalie (with a stick only, blockers, trappers and pads are not permitted), unless alternate numbers are agreed upon by both side. Player must rotate positions for each additional shift.
3. Four teams will be on the ice at one time. At the end of the 1^st game, teams will immediately play an additional game against one of the other teams already on the ice (as per the schedule).
4. Teams will receive three ice times between Friday and Saturday equaling 6 games minimum, depending on the number of teams registered.
5. All U8 games will consist of two (2) twenty one (21) minute periods with running time and a buzzer at three (3) minute intervals for line changes. Goalies do not switch at ends of half.
6. Ringette line will be used as the line players are required to pass over. Any turnovers (goals or stoppage in play) will result in the opposing team receiving a free ring on their own side of the ringette line.
7. Small nets will be used, and a physical divider will be placed at center ice.
8. No goals will be recorded, and no penalties will be served. After shift change, teams starts with free ring on their own side of the ringette line as determined by the referee/coach, no zone.
9. All other game rules apply.
